Zombo Italiano

The Italian Zombie Film Movement, 1972–1985

Too often dismissed as unrefined low-culture trash for its lush use of gore, punk music, and humor, the horror movies featured in this retrospective wove the brutal impulses of humanity into storylines that critiqued class, society, and existence itself. The poster was created for the Museum of Art and Design as part of its ongoing film programming, and included an essay, calendar, and descriptions for each film.
